Passions Nepoli, Michael (2010-04-29) >>MICHAEL: I first got into writing. It was a woman who got me into writing. She was a teacher at my school. In 8th grade I was emotional, very emotional, and this woman she came into my life. I just started talking to her. I went into her classroom and started talking to her. I had heard about her. She was from Romania and taught English to Americans. I was mesmerized by that, so I went in, started talking to her, she took a liking to me, and we had good connections. Then slowly she began to groom me into a writer, started to read poetry to me. So that's what made me passionate about writing, always talking to her, talking to her about emotions, about the meaning of life. And she would make me write for her. So I'd write things for her. She'd read them. It so inspired me. I thought in my heart that I'd become the best writer for her, write eye-opening pieces to the world. So that's what lead me in my youthful passions of writing. And I began to write various pieces. I write a lot of books. I was always passionate about books on dictatorship, Hitler, Stalin, various dictators, persecution. And I've read a lot of these books and sometimes I read books on democracy, and I grow critical. I do a critical analysis of democracy. I try to make arguments against democracy, the problems with democracy, ay. I wrote a book recently, no it was not very recently, it was two years, three years ago. I wasn't writing. It was when I was very young, when I still hadn't figured my career out. I'm getting into finances now. I was, I wrote a book against individual, I tried to attack individualism. I was more pro-the ego. Is the ego for itself? Or is it really influenced the direction of others? Do other people control the ego? Is the ego really a trans-ego? And stuff like that. I don't believe in self-esteem or that the self is independent, you can be independent of people's opinion of you. So I wrote stuff like that. But I don't get carried away with writing like some people. I try to find a balance. Writing is more for fun for me. It's not a career I want to pursue. I'm really interested in business.
