My Dad Read to Me

>>HEATHER: When I was little, I was probably just starting to read at about three or four, my mom encouraged my dad to read to me all the time. We started out with Dr. Sues and started reading other things; I ate it up. I would read anything I could get my hands on. I was probably in first grade when my bed time story became "The Hobbit" and it was a very massive endeavor but we persevered and that's one of my favorite books and that kind of got me started on the sci-fi fantasy. I've just always been an avid read; I always carry a book with me now and never go anywhere without one. It got me a little ridicule in high school but that comes with the territory. I've studied history and music and art and I have never stopped reading no matter what I do. That's my story; my dad read to me when I was little.
