[00:00:05:02] [ Jeff ] I am an engineering student at the University of Cincinnati [00:00:09:12] [ Interviewer ] Matt, how about you? [00:00:11:09] [ Matt ] I am a senior noncomissioned officer in the United States Army, [00:00:13:11] and I am also studying engineering at the University of Toledo. [00:00:17:26] [ Interviewer ] Okay so, what are you guys going to talk about today? [00:00:21:03] [ Jeff ] We're talking about our mom reading to us. [00:00:23:13] [ Matt ] We have the same mother. [ Jeff ] We are bros. [00:00:26:05] [ Interviewer ] Okay. So, carry on. Did she read to both of you guys at the same time or? [00:00:34:06] [ Jeff ] He's older than me, actually we have another brother between us. [00:00:38:24] So he... actually my mom read to me and my brother between us. [00:00:44:02] She read some Harry Potter books to us actually. I actually thoroughly enjoyed those, [00:00:49:04] those were pretty good. But, I appreciated that cause at the same time as me learning a story [00:00:54:07] my mom showed me that she loved me. I appreciate that. [00:00:58:19] [ Interviewer ] So matt? [00:01:00:14] [ Matt ] Well, Harry Potter was before my time. The name of the book that [00:01:04:06] I remember the most is sort of like my life, The Land Before Time. [00:01:07:07] Because I'm so old, but that was a great book. [00:01:11:05] Which was later turned into a movie, just like Harry Potter. [00:01:13:18] So, really spending time with my mother meant a lot to me. [00:01:15:25] And, also family time, spending it with my outstanding brother here. [00:01:20:17] So, it was a good time, you know, I learned a lot. [00:01:23:08] [ Interviewer ] So did she read that book to like all of you guys, [00:01:25:18] but Jeff was just too young remember? [00:01:27:16] [ Matt ] Probably. I was young too. So, [00:01:30:08] I mean Land Before Time was literally like I said ,you know, land before time so. [00:01:35:02] [ Jeff ] All those movies came out by the time I was of age, so. [00:01:39:18] [ Interviewer ] So you remember the movies more so than the books? [00:01:42:06] [ Jeff ] Yeah, because have you seen those movies!? Jeez... [00:01:47:09] [ Matt ] They're pretty good movies. [00:01:48:02] [ Jeff ] That's PG stuff. [ Matt ] They're PG yes, but [00:01:52:14] [ Interviewer ] Did you guys ever consider, like, being a teacher because your mom was? [00:01:57:29] [ Jeff ] I definitely did. I considered it for a little [00:02:00:22] I mean when I was young I definitely did bit, but... [00:02:04:22] but after that I was just like, yeah, I don't know. [ laughter ] [00:02:08:02] [ Interviewer ] Alright Matt, how about you? [00:02:12:19] [ Matt ] I absolutely considered becoming a teacher. [00:02:14:21] A lot of things were appealing to me, but the main problem is... [00:02:19:09] The main thing that shied me away from it is I am just really not a big fan of kids. [00:02:24:02] Especially, and you know that's for the elementary setting, but it's challenging. [00:02:28:28] I commend anyone that can actually deal with that. [00:02:31:26] I get annoyed very easily, so obviously that's something thats not a very good choice for me. [00:02:36:22] [ interviewer ] Alright well, thank you guys very much. [00:02:40:22] [ Matt ] Thank you. [ Jeff ] You're welcome.
