How I fell in love with writing Felton, Ashley (2009-04-22) >>ASHLEY FELTON: How I fell in love with writing. I would have to say my earliest memory of even writing something would have to be in my seventh grade Honors English class at Wonder Junior High School in West Memphis, Arkansas. >>ASHLEY FELTON: I walked in trembling and shaking, just ready to get it over with. I met this petite, middle aged lady by the name of Mrs. Hancock. She walked in and announced: "Class, today I am going to show you how to fall in love with writing." At first, my thought was "whatever, I just want an A", but soon that soon turned into whatever it takes. >>ASHLEY FELTON: Now, because of the persistent way that she taught, I am in love with writing; I love to write. I am so passionate about it. Because of that I am an English major with a minor in Secondary Education. One day I hope to fulfill my dreams of becoming an English teacher just as my seventh grade teacher, Mrs. Hancock, was. So I credit all of my love for writing and my passion to her. Thanks.
