>>Ambrea: this is my story of how I made it through, what brought me to the likeness of writing in the first place. When I was younger, my mom and I, we went through many hardships. I lived in a single parent home with three girls. I guess my dad couldn't handle the pressure of having to raise us and struggle, so my dad left us. And we had to deal with many hardships on our own, three girls, and mom was the baby of the family. And of course you know the baby's of the family are spoiled a little and she dealt with so many things during her life. But what drew me to writing was the fact that, through all the hardships and things that we've been through, for all the struggling, through all the time so we had to sleep in the kitchen with the oven on because we couldn't afford the heat. Or we had to go to grandma's house because we couldn't pay the electric bill or couldn't afford food. Through all the struggles that I went through, I found a place in my house, which is the closet, and I used to and I would just go up on the shelf and I would just start writing down my feelings and how I felt about all the things that we were going through. Because I didn't have anyone to talk to. Because I couldn't talk to my mom because she was already stressing and dealing with a lot of things and trying to bring us through, and I was the oldest of the three girls. So I started writing, and from that point on, that was my motivation to continue doing that. And I had a growing passion for it, and that brought about poetry club, and speech and debate, and being a motivational speaker for women's rights, and all other wrongdoings in the world. So that's my story basically about how I made it through, how I made it to this point, without writing I wouldn't have been able to have made it this far period.
