>>PADRAIG GAIL: Hi my name is Padraig Gail and I got into my literacy story -- or whatever this narrative is. I started getting into literacy and writing back when I was in high school. Actually, before that when I was just getting out of middle school. I always liked to tell a story or explore how something worked and everything. 
>>PADRAIG GAIL: When my dad got cancer awhile back I kind of turned to it as a shelter. So, whenever I was writing I would go into sort of this other world and I would just escape. Then my brain would keep working on it, though, after I was done escaping. I would come back to realize my brain would keep making up ideas.
>>PADRAIG GAIL: I finally got to the point where I if didn't get them out onto paper then I was just going to go crazy. So I started putting them out onto paper and after awhile I just started writing a novel. After, I don't know, six years I had a 700 page novel.
