Love Letters

>>XUN: My name is Xun and my narrative is about the love letters between my husband and me when we were dating. My husband came to the United States before I did so he was in the U.S. and he was writing love letters to me. It was actually the very beginning stage of writing emails and he's actually majoring in biology so he was doing like all this academic writing style when he was writing the love letters. So in one of the letters he was writing something about why we should date and why we should continue our dating and he listed like three things that we had to remember. One is first, second, and last; so it was more like the academic writing we can see in the writer's workshop but what I responded was more like the stream of consciousness about my feelings, about my emotions, which had nothing to do with one, two, three, all three steps he mentioned. So it was just interesting for me to see how the academic background can affect one's writing style.
