Angle Fish Grohens, Anna >>ANNA: My name is Anna Grohens and my literacy story is about my dad's encyclopedias from when he was a kid. When I was probably about five or six, maybe even four or five, I think that's probably when I started reading about five. My little sister had a nickname, the first letter of her name is "K" for Keera and her nickname was Koala Bear and Kowalski is what my dad used to call her. So I was really jealous that I didn't have a nickname that was - what do you call it when it's the same letter? >>SPEAKER: I don't know, the same letter? >>ANNA: The same letter, anyway, so he gave me his encyclopedias which he was way more excited about [Laughing] than I was. I was just happy that they had so many pictures. Finally, to get me kind of interested he told me to pick out a nickname that started with A's. So I went through all the A's and I really liked apple [Laughing] that was shot down. Finally I picked Angle Fish which is still my nickname. >>SPEAKER: Oh that's great.
