Title: Magic Tricks and Heuristics: How "Magic: the Gathering" Taught Me to Read (And Other Shameless Claims)
Author: Levine, Isaac
Description: This is a literacy narrative I composed for an English class on tutoring methodologies for ESL students. This was our first assignment, where we were called upon to describe and trace our conceptions of literacy. I've always found my earliest inklings of literacy in visual media like "Magic: the Gathering" and a medley of video games.
