Even though it wasn't necessarily cool to read for fun, I considered it to be a passion of mine. Some of my friends would tease me for reading, but I didn't let that stop me and to this day I still read a variety of different types of literature. I got started reading because many of my family members are English majors and would always read to me when I was young. I am pretty independent and like to do things on my own so when I was finally old enough I started to read by myself. As long as someone isn't forcing me to read a book I am the first one you'll see holding a book in their hands. |
